Brian Castriota records built and natural environments, and the traces of human presence they contain. Emphasis is placed on documenting the spatial patterning of artifacts, features and debris preserved within various sites, as well as the imagined effects of future depositional and diagenetic processes. Memory, material and place are approached stratigraphically in an ongoing effort to discern and relate temporal context and continuity.
